So, What is Body Shaping?

Every person that has struggled with weight loss or is not happy with the shape of their body can find a procedure that can help them look and feel better. New, non-invasive procedures are being introduced and refined to make it easier and more convenient to take the weight off and get the body shape that the person desires.

Body shaping has come a long way since liposuction was the only option. Liposuction is surgery and has all the risks that come with it. A new generation of procedures is becoming popular for people who don’t want to remove fat with a vacuum.

  • Cryolipolysis uses controlled cooling to target subcutaneous fat deposits. Fat cells are crystallized through the extreme cold and the fat is released. The lymphatic system flushes the fat out of the body. The procedure doesn’t cause damage to the overlying skin or the surrounding area.
  • Ultrasound can be used to target unwanted fat. The high-intensity focused sound can target an entire layer of fat. The ultrasound technique is completely non-invasive and the body absorbs the destroyed fat cells over a period of two to three months.
  • Laser Liposuction uses a laser to puncture fat cells through the skin. This procedure is also non-invasive and, like Cryolipolysis, the fat is flushed out of the body by the lymphatic system. Other than using the heat of a laser, this procedure is very similar to Cryolipolysis.

All of these procedures target specific areas of fat cells. The cells are destroyed and the released fat is flushed out of the body naturally. Regular exercise and diet can keep the fat cells from coming back. For people who want to take inches off and contour their body to their desire, these are very exciting times.
