Halloween Beauty 101

What are your plans for Halloween? If you’re attending a costume party or going trick-or-treating with the kids, keep reading. Why? Because you don’t want to look a fright come the morning of November 1st. Here are some tips to keep in mind, courtesy of Daily Glow:

  • Avoid face make-ups that are oil-based or greasy. Go for natural or water-based options to get that ghostly look.
  • Don’t overdo it with the treats. Lots of candy can raise your blood sugar and produce more insulin. This can lead to over-stimulation of the glands, and eventually a scary breakout once Halloween is over.
  • If there’s likely to be smoking at the costume party, use an antioxidant-rich moisturizer to protect your skin from secondhand smoke.
  • The combination of heavy make-up, costumes and wigs can make you hot, sweaty and dehydrated. Carry a bottle of water with you to stay hydrated and cool.

Midwest Medical Aesthetics wishes you a happy and safe Halloween weekend!
