Well as you know I’ve been providing Botox™ treatments to my Kansas patients for some time now – everyone loves and I’m sure you’re aware of it but do you know who invented it or anything about it?
So I found this article today and thought I’d share it with you. It give you a little background on the inventor of Botox™ – a woman named Jean Carruthers. She’s from Canada but right now she’s in the Melia White House Hotel in the UK for the FACE conference where she’s going to be running a workshop and speak about the drug that has changed millions of people’s lives.
I’ve posted a quote from the article below and a link to the it too. It’s pretty good. Feel free to leave a comment below.
It is no surprise that the press are queuing up to meet the women who discovered that injections of botulinum type A could erase lines and wrinkles. Since that discovery in 1987 the treatment has become a billion dollar global phenomenon and the word ‘botox’ has become a household name. But far from being arrogant about her role in the birth of Botox®, Dr Carruthers is matter of fact when she tells the now legendary story of how it came about.
